Head of Growth
Full-time
Why join Entity?
This gets very big if console-quality games become something people try in a browser tab before they ever think about downloading a launcher. Entity, a Dublin video game software company, raised a $6M seed backed by Elkstone Capital Partners, Delta Partners, Enterprise Ireland and Act Venture Capital, and it is hiring marketing ahead of its 2027 launch.

About Entity
Entity is building the destination for high calibre games on the web. A curated catalogue of bestselling full-scale game titles running natively in the browser: click a link and you’re playing in seconds on the device you already own.
There are no downloads, no installs and no new hardware. This new low-friction way of playing games is powered by the latest developments in web technologies such as WebAssembly and WebGPU, allowing us to render high-quality game experiences on your device. This is not a game streaming service; this is the power of the New Web.
For developers, we’re the official, licensed channel for proper games on the web. We offer self-serve tools to publish, operate and grow their games, with social play, identity and a unique end-to-end business analytics suite built into the platform.
We’ve signed top-tier publishers representing 100s of millions of unit sales on PC and console to date and are preparing for launch in 2027. We are growing the company in preparation for welcoming players to a new way of experiencing, and discovering, a new home for their gaming experience.
We’re early, funded and moving fast. Joining Entity at this stage is a rare opportunity to help shape our company and our mission. We are an AI-native business; embracing the latest technologies and tools is essential to being successful with us.
About the role
We're hiring a Head of Growth (VP, Distribution) to build and run the engine that brings players to Entity and keeps them coming back. That covers marketing, influencers and community, distribution partnerships, and brand and PR.
You'll report to the CEO and join the senior leadership team. You'll own the growth strategy of the business, the budget and the results. This is a senior and critical role for Entity as we enter our launch phase.
The browser changes how games are distributed. A game on Entity is one link away, so it can be shared and discovered in places app stores and launchers can't reach. We want someone who sees that as the opportunity and builds a growth model around it, rather than copying the playbook of a console or mobile store. You'll need to be knowledgable of growth tactics from gaming, ecommerce, and a broad range of digital product growth strategies.
Alongside leading the marketing and distribution teams, you'll also work very closely with the Head of Games on launch plans for each title and with publishers on co-marketing.
This is a senior, hands-on role. We need someone who can set the strategy in the morning and write the brief, read the data and make the call in the afternoon.
Key responsibilities
- Growth strategy and model. Own Entity's growth strategy and the model behind it: target players, channel mix, budget, unit economics and targets. Present it to the board and investors and keep it current.
- Launch. Plan and run the consumer launch, from waitlist through early access to general availability. Turn the founding-member programme into early advocates.
- Performance marketing and user acquisition. Own paid channels, creative testing, attribution and budget. Hold acquisition cost and payback to targets, and know which channels are adding players, not just counting them.
- Influencers and creators. Build and run the creator programmes: streamer seeding, paid and organic partnerships, affiliate and referral schemes.
- Community. Oversee Entity's player community across Discord, Reddit and social channels - by leading the community manager and team. Set the tone, build the team and turn players into advocates who share Entity with others.
- Distribution partnerships. Find and close distribution deals that put Entity games in front of players: affiliates, media and content partners, device, telecoms and browser partners. Measure each partnership on players and revenue, not reach.
- Brand, PR and comms. Own the consumer brand and messaging, built on our agreed pillars. Lead our PR agency, the events calendar (including GDC and Gamescom) and consumer comms. Work with the CEO on industry and investor messaging.
- Publisher co-marketing. Work with the Head of Games and publishers on launch plans, promotional slots and joint campaigns for each title.
- Data and measurement. Define the growth KPIs, attribution and reporting with the Product Manager, Live. Run a weekly growth review and a monthly report for the board pack.
- Team and agencies. Hire and lead the growth team as we scale. Manage agencies and freelancers to clear briefs, budgets and results.
- AI-native marketing. Use AI tools across creative production, testing, community and analysis, and set up how the team uses them consistently.
Requirements
- 8+ years in growth or marketing for games or consumer digital products, including 3+ years leading a growth or marketing function.
- A track record of growing a consumer product to scale, with numbers to show for it: players, revenue, acquisition cost, retention.
- Hands-on experience across: performance marketing, influencer and creator programmes, community, partnerships, and brand and PR. Deep strength in at least two.
- Experience owning a significant marketing budget and being accountable for its return.
- Experience launching a product or platform to consumers.
- Strong analytical skills: attribution, incrementality, cohort analysis and lifetime value. You make budget calls from data and can show your working.
- Experience leading agencies and building teams.
- A current, first-hand understanding of where players spend their time and how they discover games today: Discord, Reddit, Twitch, TikTok, YouTube, and the creators who shape what people play, across players aged 16 to 60.
- The judgement and presence to represent Entity with publishers, partners, press and investors.
- Based in the UK or Ireland, with the right to work there.
Nice to have
- Experience growing a games platform, storefront, subscription service or launcher.
- Experience with web or browser games, or growth through links, embeds and sharing.
- Experience building distribution partnerships with device makers, telecoms, browsers or media companies.
- Experience working with publishers on co-marketing.
- Experience scaling a growth function through a Series A or similar stage.
- Hands-on use of AI tools for creative, testing and analysis.
- A passion for games and a network across creators, press and the industry.
Working Conditions
Entity is remote-first, but this role is only open to candidates based in the UK or Ireland, with a suitable home-working setup. We value autonomy, clear ownership, and outcome-driven work. Some flexibility in working hours is expected to support collaboration across the team. Occasional travel may be required for team sessions, industry events, or visits with development partners.
