JustBacked ("we") runs justbacked.com, a job board for roles at venture-backed startups. This page explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google. With Google sign-in we receive only your basic profile (name, email, profile photo) and nothing else from your Google account.
- What you save: saved jobs and their tracker status, saved searches, and companies you follow.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and membership status, never your card number.
- Digest subscribers: your email address and when you subscribed.
- Basic logs: standard server and security logs (IP address, browser, pages requested), kept for a short period.
How we use it
To run your account, send the alerts and digests you ask for, process membership payments and keep the site secure. We don't sell your data and we don't share it with employers. When you click Apply, you leave JustBacked for the employer's own site, and their privacy policy applies there.
Who processes it for us
Hosting (Hetzner, Germany), content delivery and security (Cloudflare), email delivery (Resend), payments (Stripe) and sign-in (Google, if you choose it).
Your choices
Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can delete saved items any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and data by emailing [email protected]. We'll confirm within 30 days.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. No advertising trackers.
