Why join Lexroom.ai?

The bet: lawyers can hand research, analysis and first drafts to an AI assistant built by legal experts instead of generic tools. If it pays off, Lexroom.ai could become the default legal tech assistant for Italian law firms. A $50M Series B, bigger than about half of its stage over six months, and 56 open roles, 39 added in 30 days, say the Milan company is scaling hard.

JustBacked's take, based on Lexroom.ai's own site and its funding and hiring data.

Lexroom is building the AI platform where legal work gets done. In just over two years, we've grown from zero to €25M ARR, and today more than 20,000 legal professionals across Italy, Spain, Germany, France, and Bulgaria rely on Lexroom.

We're backed by $73M from Left Lane Capital, Base10 Partners, and Eurazeo, and we're a team of around 300 builders who move fast, say things straight, and own each outcome.

Our next goal? Become Europe's most-used legal product.

Why Lexroom?

  • Shape the Standard: Be part of the team setting the benchmark for legal AI in Europe.

  • Work with the Best: Collaborate with exceptional colleagues in a culture that values competence, curiosity, and ambition.

  • Deliver Meaningful Results: Your work will directly influence how legal professionals operate—faster, clearer, and more efficiently.

At Lexroom, we leave buzzwords behind. Here, you'll build something that lasts: a trusted platform, a strong reputation, a new standard for the legal world.

The Role

Join us as a Legal & Privacy Intern: your primary responsibility will be supporting the management of data subject requests across all jurisdictions where Lexroom operates. To broaden your experience, you will also support the Legal team and our Data Protection Officer (DPO) with contracts, legal research, and privacy compliance.

What You'll Do
Your core focus: Data subject requests

  • Support the handling of data subject requests (access, rectification, erasure, objection, etc.) from users and customers in Italy, Germany, Spain, and our other markets.

  • Keep the request log up to date and help improve templates, procedures, and response times.

Supporting the Legal team & DPO

  • Draft and review NDAs and data processing agreements based on our playbooks.

  • Review contracts, flag potential issues, and prepare first drafts for the Legal Counsels.

  • Carry out legal research on privacy and digital regulation topics, using Lexroom daily in your work.

  • Help maintain records of processing activities, data maps, and privacy documentation.

  • Support privacy impact assessments, vendor checks, and responses to customer security questionnaires.

  • Contribute to privacy notices, internal policies, and awareness materials.

What You'll Bring

  • A recent law degree.

  • Solid knowledge of the GDPR and a genuine interest in data protection and EU digital regulation (e.g., AI Act).

  • Native Italian and fluent English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

  • German or French language skills.

  • A master's degree, course, or certification in data protection.

  • Previous internship or experience in a law firm, privacy team, or tech company.

What We Offer

  • A 6-month internship with real ownership of a process from day one.

  • Hands-on training from our Legal team and DPO, with exposure to the DPO role, business contracts and privacy compliance in a fast-growing tech company.

  • €900/month reimbursement + meal vouchers.

  • Based in our Milan office.
