Description

As Aerodynamics Engineer, you will develop the aerodynamic configurations of our Native Counter-Swarm Platform across a wide speed range, from subsonic to supersonic. You will combine state-of-the-art simulation with wind-tunnel and flight testing, working directly with R&D, structures, and systems teams. This is a hands-on role at the heart of the system’s performance, with a direct path from concept to flight. It suits engineers who want to see their configurations leave the screen and fly.

The Mission

Your mission is to give our platforms the aerodynamic performance they need to catch and defeat fast, agile threats. You will define the configurations, prove them in simulation and the wind tunnel, and see them fly.

Why Join Skapion?

Some problems are too urgent to wait. Skapion is a defense-tech company building a Native Counter-Swarm Platform, designed from the ground up to intercept and defeat the threat. We are backed by top-tier investors and recruiting at full steam.

  • Build it from day one. Define the aerodynamics of a platform no one has built before. Your configurations will define how it flies.
  • See your work in the field. Take your designs from simulation to wind tunnel to flight test, and watch them fly.
  • Real, visible impact. In a focused team, your work sits at the heart of the system’s performance.
  • Growing fast. The people who join now will help set the standard for everything that comes next.

If you want to build something that matters, with people who know how, we’d love to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the aerodynamics of challenging configurations across a wide speed range.
  • Use some of the most advanced computational and simulation tools in the world.
  • Optimize configurations in a multi-constraint environment (performance, stability, structures, systems, integration).
  • Plan and run wind-tunnel experiments in Israel and abroad, and analyze the results.
  • Plan flight experiments and interpret the flight data.
  • Conduct cutting-edge research, including collaboration with academia.
  • Build analysis tools and scripts to automate engineering workflows.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong foundation in aerodynamics and fluid dynamics.
  • Experience working in MATLAB, Python, and C/C++.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and under multiple constraints.
  • Independent analytical ability, creativity, and a research mindset.
  • Good command of English (work with international partners and facilities).

Advantages

  • M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with CFD tools (RANS/LES) and large-scale simulations.
  • Hands-on experience in wind-tunnel or flight testing.
  • Experience with multidisciplinary optimization (MDO).
  • Academic research or publications in the field.
  • Experience with transonic and supersonic flows.
