Why join Skapion?

This could be huge if militaries and critical sites stop answering cheap drone swarms with expensive missiles and adopt networks that intercept many targets at once. Skapion, a Brooklyn, New York defense company building counter-swarm air defense, could end up in that position. Its $36M seed from Stratos Ventures and Khosla Ventures is hard to dismiss, especially with a founder described as the architect of Iron Dome and David's Sling.

Description

As Board Design Engineer, you will design the electronic boards and hardware architecture at the core of our Native Counter-Swarm Platform. You will take boards from concept and schematic through bring-up, field testing, and production, working directly with software, mechanical, system, and integration teams. This role suits hardware engineers who enjoy complex electronics, solving real-world system challenges, and seeing their designs perform in the field.

The Mission

Your mission is to deliver the hardware backbone of the platform: reliable, field-proven boards that carry the system from the first schematic to production.

Why Join Skapion?

Some problems are too urgent to wait. Skapion is a defense-tech company building a Native Counter-Swarm Platform, designed from the ground up to intercept and defeat the threat. We are backed by top-tier investors and recruiting at full steam.

  • Build it from day one. Design the hardware architecture instead of inheriting someone else’s. Your boards will define how the system performs.
  • See your work in the field. Take your designs from schematic through bring-up to field testing and production.
  • Real, visible impact. In a focused team, your work matters directly to the mission and to the people who depend on it.
  • Growing fast. The people who join now will help set the standard for everything that comes next.

If you want to build something that matters, with people who know how, we’d love to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic boards and system hardware architecture.
  • Lead the full product lifecycle: concept, schematic, layout guidance, bring-up, and production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, system, and integration).
  • Work with subcontractors and support performance analysis.
  • Participate in design reviews, system validation, and field testing.
  • Support the transition from development to manufacturing.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in board-level hardware design.
  • Strong experience in analog and digital design, simulations, and component selection.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up, testing, and integration.
  • Experience with OrCAD design tools.
  • Familiarity with EMC/EMI standards.
  • Fluent in Hebrew and English.

Advantages

  • Experience with STM32 microcontrollers.
  • Experience with MIL-STD standards.
  • Knowledge of programmable devices (CPLD / FPGA).
  • Ability to work with software teams and read embedded code.
  • Customer-facing experience and willingness to travel abroad.
  • Experience with Nvidia, Qualcomm, or similar SOM platforms.
