About Genki Robotics

Genki Robotics was founded by a team of pioneers in humanoid robotics committed to practical applications of physical AI. With decades of collective expertise, we are developing advanced robotic systems that combine intelligence, dexterity, and resilience to address critical challenges in public safety, urban maintenance, and other mission-driven environments. Our vision is to accelerate the integration of intelligent humanoids into society, augmenting human capability and shaping the future of work and service.

We’re backed by a16z, AMD, DCM, Incubate Fund, and X&KSK.

About the Role

You will collect the demonstration data our models learn from, both by teleoperating robots and by using our data collection hardware directly. Every policy we train comes from someone showing the robot how a task is done, and how well it is shown determines how well the robot learns it.

What You'll Do

  • Collect demonstrations across a range of tasks, both by teleoperating robots and by using data collection hardware such as gloves and wearable rigs.

  • Follow collection protocols precisely, and perform the same task the same way across many repetitions.

  • Set up and calibrate collection hardware, and verify each session recorded correctly.

  • Review your own episodes and flag the ones that should not go into a training set.

  • Report problems with the rigs, the robot, or the task setup so engineers can fix them.

  • Keep clear records of what was collected, under what conditions, and what went wrong.

  • Support testing and development sessions when engineers need a robot driven.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning, with a track record in work requiring fine motor control.

  • Consistency and patience. The same task, performed the same way, many times over.

  • Attention to detail, and the judgment to tell a good demonstration from a sloppy one.

  • Comfort setting up and calibrating equipment, and checking that it worked.

  • Clear written communication for reporting issues and keeping records.

  • Comfort around robots and the judgment to work safely near moving hardware.

Bonus Points

  • Teleoperation experience, whether in robotics, surgical systems, drones, or remote vehicle operation.

  • Experience with motion capture, wearable sensors, or similar instrumented collection setups.

  • Experience collecting data for machine learning, including annotation or labeling work.

  • Background in a skilled manual trade, physical therapy, athletics, or gaming at a competitive level.

  • Comfort with software basics: running scripts and checking logs.
