About Genki Robotics
Genki Robotics was founded by a team of pioneers in humanoid robotics committed to practical applications of physical AI. With decades of collective expertise, we are developing advanced robotic systems that combine intelligence, dexterity, and resilience to address critical challenges in public safety, urban maintenance, and other mission-driven environments. Our vision is to accelerate the integration of intelligent humanoids into society, augmenting human capability and shaping the future of work and service.
We’re backed by a16z, AMD, DCM, Incubate Fund, and X&KSK.
About the Role
You will run our robots every day and tell us what actually works. Every change to hardware, firmware, or a model is a change to how the robot behaves, and someone has to put it through its paces and keep an honest record of the result.
This is a hands-on role. You will spend your days with real robots, running tests, watching them fail, and writing down exactly what happened.
What You'll Do
Run daily test passes across our robots, covering the behaviors and scenarios that matter.
Build and maintain the test case library: what gets run, how, and what counts as a pass.
Keep a rigorous log of results over time, attributed to specific hardware, firmware, and model versions.
Spot patterns across runs, and identify what changed when something starts failing.
Write clear, reproducible bug reports that engineers can act on without asking you three follow-up questions.
Verify fixes and run regression passes before releases go out.
Work with Evals to identify which manual tests should be automated next, and use the automated harness once it exists.
Work with engineers to reproduce failures, including the intermittent ones nobody else can trigger.
What We're Looking For
Track record in QA or test for hardware, robotics, or embedded systems.
Rigor and consistency. You follow the same procedure every time, because otherwise the results mean nothing.
Strong written communication. A bug report is the product of this job.
Comfort with software basics: reading logs, running scripts, checking which build is on the robot.
Diagnostic curiosity. You are not satisfied with "it failed," you want to know under what conditions.
Comfort around robots and the judgment to work safely near moving hardware.
Bonus Points
Experience testing ML-driven or probabilistic systems, where the same input does not always produce the same output.
Experience with autonomous vehicle validation or similar physical-system test programs.
Test automation experience, including scripting your own tooling.
Familiarity with issue tracking and test management systems.
Teleoperation experience, or experience operating robots for data collection.
