Why join Layup Parts?

The bet: composite parts can be ordered like software, with a rapid quote and no order minimums. If that works, hardware teams stop scheduling around custom composites, and Layup Parts becomes their default supplier out of Huntington Beach, California. A $42M Series A that beats 73% of its stage over six months is backed by Founders Fund and Lux Capital, and 34 open roles, eight new in 30 days, show hiring is ramping.

JustBacked's take, based on Layup Parts's own site and its funding and hiring data.

At Layup Parts, we're developing the technology that will build the future.

We're a manufacturing technology company replacing months of lead time with days, using proprietary software, robotics, and advanced manufacturing systems built for speed. Our customers are inventing what's next, in aerospace, defense, robotics, and beyond. To keep up with them, manufacturing has to change. That's what we're building.

We're looking for an Electrical Engineer to help us build the next generation of manufacturing equipment while owning the electrical systems that keep our production floor running. This is a hands-on, systems-level role working across industrial controls, electrical cabinets, wiring and harnessing, production equipment, and robotic systems.

You'll work closely with our robotics, controls, mechanical, manufacturing, and facilities teams to troubleshoot equipment, improve existing machines, and design electrical systems for new projects. We're looking for someone who wants to work directly with physical systems, not just design at a desk, and is comfortable getting on the production floor to diagnose problems and build solutions
