connector URL
Run your startup job search in Claude
Add JustBacked as a custom connector in Claude on the web, desktop or mobile app. Claude can then search every open role at freshly funded startups, read a role's application questions, draft answers for you to edit and log what you applied to.
Set it up
- 01Create an API key on justbacked.com: Account, then AI agents & API, then New key. Members only. Copy the connector URL it shows.
- 02In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
- 03Name it JustBacked and paste the connector URL as the remote MCP server URL. Leave the OAuth fields empty.
- 04In a chat, open the tools menu, make sure JustBacked is on, and ask for roles.
https://justbacked.com/api/mcp/jb_live_YOUR_KEY- Custom connectors are on Claude's paid plans. On Team and Enterprise an owner may need to allow them first.
- The connector URL contains your key. Keep it private, and revoke the key on your account page if it leaks.
Menu names in third-party apps change often. If a step doesn't match what you see, the setting is usually under Connectors, Integrations or MCP servers.

Put your job search on autopilot, minus the submit button
Agent access comes with every JustBacked membership: $12/month or $59/year. Create a key on your account page and connect your assistant in two minutes.
Questions
- Does the agent apply to jobs for me?
- No. JustBacked never submits an application. Your agent finds roles, reads the application questions, drafts answers and cover notes for you to edit, and logs what you applied to. You open the apply link and submit it yourself, so nothing goes out under your name that you haven't read.
- Which plan do I need?
- Any JustBacked membership ($12/month or $59/year). Agent access allows 1,000 requests a day, far more than a job search uses.
- Which assistants work?
- Claude (web, desktop, Claude Code), ChatGPT in developer mode (chats and dots), Muse Code, Cursor and anything else that speaks MCP. Instinct works from your JustBacked alert emails. There is also a REST API with an OpenAPI spec for scripts and automations.
- Where do the jobs come from?
- From each company's own hiring system (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday and about 20 others), read every morning, for startups that raised a venture round in the last six months. Pay comes from the posting when the company publishes it.
