JustBacked in Claude Code

Claude Code takes remote MCP servers with a header, so the key never sits in a URL. Pair it with your resume in a folder and Claude Code can shortlist roles, tailor a resume and cover note per role, and log each application.

search_jobs: Every open role at startups that raised in the last six months, with the same filters as the board: function, level, city, remote, stage, raise size, investors, pay. Members see roles the day they're posted.
get_job: The full description, pay, the company's round and investors, hiring velocity and the apply link.
get_application_form: The role's application questions from the company's Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby board, so your agent can draft answers with you. Read-only.
get_company: Round, amount, lead investors, headcount and every open role at one startup.
track_application, list_applications, update_application: Your application tracker on justbacked.com/saved: saved, applied, interviewing, offer, rejected, withdrawn, with dated notes.
list_lists, add_to_list, remove_from_list: Target-company lists. A list emails you when a company on it posts a role or raises.

Questions

Does the agent apply to jobs for me?: No. JustBacked never submits an application. Your agent finds roles, reads the application questions, drafts answers and cover notes for you to edit, and logs what you applied to. You open the apply link and submit it yourself, so nothing goes out under your name that you haven't read.
Which plan do I need?: Any JustBacked membership ($12/month or $59/year). Agent access allows 1,000 requests a day, far more than a job search uses.
Which assistants work?: Claude (web, desktop, Claude Code), ChatGPT in developer mode (chats and dots), Muse Code, Cursor and anything else that speaks MCP. Instinct works from your JustBacked alert emails. There is also a REST API with an OpenAPI spec for scripts and automations.
Where do the jobs come from?: From each company's own hiring system (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday and about 20 others), read every morning, for startups that raised a venture round in the last six months. Pay comes from the posting when the company publishes it.
