Let Instinct text you the startup jobs worth applying to

Instinct is the personal agent you text or call, and it already works inside your Gmail. JustBacked emails you new roles that match your saved searches every morning, so Instinct can read those alerts, filter them with what it knows about you, and text you only the ones worth a look.

Set it up

  1. 01On JustBacked, run a search you like and choose Save search & get alerts. Alerts go to your account email.
  2. 02In Instinct, connect the Google account that receives your JustBacked emails.
  3. 03Text Instinct what to look for, for example: "When JustBacked emails me design roles in New York over $150K, text me the company, the round and the apply link."
  4. 04When an alert matches, Instinct texts you. Open the link and apply on the company's site.
  • Instinct doesn't connect to custom MCP servers yet, so it works from the alert emails, not a live search. Claude, ChatGPT, dots and Muse Code can search live.
  • No API key needed: Instinct only reads the emails JustBacked already sends you. Members get alerts the morning a role is posted.

Menu names in third-party apps change often. If a step doesn't match what you see, the setting is usually under Connectors, Integrations or MCP servers.

Try asking Instinct

  • you“Find Series A design roles in NYC paying over $150K and track the ones I apply to.”
  • you“Which startups that raised in the last 30 days are hiring backend engineers remotely? Add the five best fits to my Targets list.”
  • you“Pull the application questions for this role and draft answers from my resume. I'll review before I submit.”
  • you“I applied to the two roles you shortlisted this morning. Mark them applied and show me what's still in saved.”
  • you“Research this company before my interview: round, investors, how fast they're hiring and what else is open.”
  • you“Save a daily alert for senior product manager roles at seed and Series A fintech startups in London.”

Put your job search on autopilot, minus the submit button

Agent access comes with every JustBacked membership: $12/month or $59/year. Create a key on your account page and connect your assistant in two minutes.

Questions

Does the agent apply to jobs for me?
No. JustBacked never submits an application. Your agent finds roles, reads the application questions, drafts answers and cover notes for you to edit, and logs what you applied to. You open the apply link and submit it yourself, so nothing goes out under your name that you haven't read.
Which plan do I need?
Any JustBacked membership ($12/month or $59/year). Agent access allows 1,000 requests a day, far more than a job search uses.
Which assistants work?
Claude (web, desktop, Claude Code), ChatGPT in developer mode (chats and dots), Muse Code, Cursor and anything else that speaks MCP. Instinct works from your JustBacked alert emails. There is also a REST API with an OpenAPI spec for scripts and automations.
Where do the jobs come from?
From each company's own hiring system (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday and about 20 others), read every morning, for startups that raised a venture round in the last six months. Pay comes from the posting when the company publishes it.
