Use JustBacked with Meta Muse

Muse is Meta's personal agent. Its coding sibling, Muse Code, connects to remote MCP servers today, so you can add JustBacked with a few lines of config. A listing in the Muse app's connector catalog is on the way; until then, Muse Code is the way in.

Set it up

  1. 01Create an API key on justbacked.com: Account, then AI agents & API, then New key. Members only.
  2. 02Open your Muse Code settings and add JustBacked as a remote MCP server with the block below.
  3. 03Restart Muse Code and check that justbacked is listed among your MCP servers.
  4. 04Ask for roles, then ask it to track the ones you apply to.

      "headers": {

    }
  }
}
  • The Muse app itself connects only to services in Meta's connector catalog. JustBacked's listing is in progress.
  • Settings file locations change between Muse Code versions. Look for MCP servers in its settings if the path differs.

Menu names in third-party apps change often. If a step doesn't match what you see, the setting is usually under Connectors, Integrations or MCP servers.

Try asking Muse

  • you“Find Series A design roles in NYC paying over $150K and track the ones I apply to.”
  • you“Which startups that raised in the last 30 days are hiring backend engineers remotely? Add the five best fits to my Targets list.”
  • you“Pull the application questions for this role and draft answers from my resume. I'll review before I submit.”
  • you“I applied to the two roles you shortlisted this morning. Mark them applied and show me what's still in saved.”
  • you“Research this company before my interview: round, investors, how fast they're hiring and what else is open.”
  • you“Save a daily alert for senior product manager roles at seed and Series A fintech startups in London.”

Put your job search on autopilot, minus the submit button

Agent access comes with every JustBacked membership: $12/month or $59/year. Create a key on your account page and connect your assistant in two minutes.

Questions

Does the agent apply to jobs for me?
No. JustBacked never submits an application. Your agent finds roles, reads the application questions, drafts answers and cover notes for you to edit, and logs what you applied to. You open the apply link and submit it yourself, so nothing goes out under your name that you haven't read.
Which plan do I need?
Any JustBacked membership ($12/month or $59/year). Agent access allows 1,000 requests a day, far more than a job search uses.
Which assistants work?
Claude (web, desktop, Claude Code), ChatGPT in developer mode (chats and dots), Muse Code, Cursor and anything else that speaks MCP. Instinct works from your JustBacked alert emails. There is also a REST API with an OpenAPI spec for scripts and automations.
Where do the jobs come from?
From each company's own hiring system (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday and about 20 others), read every morning, for startups that raised a venture round in the last six months. Pay comes from the posting when the company publishes it.
